I’ve worked extremely hard over the past six years to build PAWS and THINK! Books. Most people don’t realize the immense amount of time and effort that goes into making a children’s book series successful. The financial aspect of it is obviously important and I’m proud to have turned my passion into a profitable business. However, I believe that is only part of why PAWS and THINK! is a huge success. Reading these beautifully handwritten notes from students and teachers about the impact of my author visit reminds me of why I did this in the first place. These letters reaffirm that I’m doing exactly what I set out to do… inspire children, teach important lessons, and promote literacy. So thank you to James River Day School and all other schools that have allowed me the opportunity to share PAWS and THINK! with your wonderful students. You’ve reassured me why my job (even virtually!) is so impactful and why I’ll continue trying to make a difference in this world.
